The moment the lead singer of iconic rock band Jane’s Addiction explodes on stage and punches the guitarist mid-song

The lead singer of iconic rock band Jane’s Addiction got into a fight with guitarist Dave Navarro in the middle of a show in Boston on Friday night.

Singer Perry Farrell barked into the microphone before walking over to guitarist Dave Navarro and punching him, sparking a fight and stopping the show mid-song.

Fans at the concert say tensions appeared to escalate during several songs, with some eyewitnesses suggesting Farrell began yelling at Navarro during “Mountain Song.”

The tension only seemed to grow as the band played “Three Days” before Farrell finally took aim and attacked Navarro at the end of “Ocean Days.”

Frontman Perry Farrell began swearing into the microphone before walking over to guitarist Dave Navarro and belting out nine songs during Jane’s Addiction’s set in Boston.

The lead singer of iconic rock band Jane’s Addiction got into a fight with the band’s new guitarist during a concert in Boston on Friday night.

The evening’s entertainment ended abruptly.

Navarro appeared completely caught off guard when crew members rushed onto the stage and grabbed Farrell in an attempt to pull him away.

Farrell was asked to stop lunging at him and had to be restrained before being dragged off stage by crew members and bassist Eric Avery, but he appeared particularly agitated.

The stage lights dimmed, making it difficult for spectators to see exactly what was happening. The area was then bathed in a dark blue light as the band walked away.

Moments later, Navarro, Avery and drummer Stephen Perkins reunited on stage and embraced, waving to the crowd and flashing peace signs. The loyal fans in the crowd went wild, clapping and cheering.

The band has tour dates scheduled for the remainder of the month, their first tour in 15 years, through mid-October, but it is unclear whether the tour will continue following the onstage incident.

Fans who posted on X on Friday night believe the band may have reached the end of their road once and for all.

“This was definitely the last day of J Addiction,” wrote one fan.

“Well it looks like the band is not getting back together. That was crazy. Kids, let this be a lesson to you… Don’t do drugs and the anger will eat you up from the inside,” another added.

“I was there. The crowd was bewildered. Half pissed that the show ended early and half excited that we may have seen the last Jane A show ever,” wrote a third.

The unrest appears to have started in New York, where the band played two nights earlier this week at Manhattan’s Pier 17, overlooking the East River.

Rumors circulated on social media earlier in the week that there was tension between the band members.

At one point, Farrell even admitted to the Pier 17 crowd that his voice wasn’t in great shape.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I have to be honest with you. There is something wrong with my voice. I can’t pronounce the notes at once anymore,” he said.

Bassist Eric Avery acknowledged New York’s poor showing in an Instagram post, writing: “Looking forward to playing this spectacular rooftop venue again tonight. I’m optimistic we’ll be better.”
