Co-founder of the Seven Deadly Sins motorcycle gang Frederic Rogers kills 7 people

An Alabama man who co-founded a motorcycle gang called the Seven Deadly Sins has been convicted of shooting seven people — some of whom were members of the motorcycle club — and a dog.

Investigators testified at trial that 26-year-old Frederic Allen Rogers confessed to killing four of the seven men.

According to AL.com, after less than three hours of deliberations on Wednesday, the jury recommended a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Prosecutors demanded the death penalty.

Rogers and his alleged accomplice, 23-year-old John Michael Legg, were arrested in Oregon when Marion County police officers pulled them over more than two weeks after the massacre.

In early June 2020, officers arrived at a home in Valhermoso Springs and found three people dead in the garage — one of them on fire, according to the station. Four more people were dead in other parts of the home.

The victims were later identified as Valhermoso Springs residents: Tammy England Muzzey, 45; Emily Brooke Payne, 21; and Dakota Green, 17; Roger Lee Jones Jr., 19, of Decatur; Jeramy Wade Roberts, 31, of Athens; and William Zane Hodgin, 18, of Somerville.

All seven were shot multiple times, as was the dog, authorities said. Green, the youngest victim, was also stabbed, according to local reports.

As prosecutors showed hundreds of crime scene photos in court, Rogers was seen shaking in his chair, Huntsville station FOX 54 reported.

Authorities found dozens of shell casings at the scene, allegedly set on fire to destroy evidence.

Documents show Legg, who has yet to appear in court, faces additional escape charges after he allegedly tried to escape from the Morgan County Jail.

According to the Decatur Daily, he did so while wearing a “proven” uniform – the clothes of another inmate assigned to supervise fellow prisoners.
