The men’s 100-meter final promises to be exciting.

Sunday’s semifinal only fanned the flames as U.S. star Noah Lyles looked to Jamaica’s Oblique Seville as they both crossed the finish line. Although the semifinal wasn’t a medal decider, Seville edged Lyles by just 0.02 seconds.

The 100-meter final, which will feature Lyles and Seville, will begin at 3:50 p.m. ET on Sunday.

Although Lyles failed to beat Sevilla in the semi-finals, the title of fastest man in the world is still wide open ahead of Sunday’s final. Lyles posted the fastest time in the 100 meters earlier this year and will be looking to repeat that on his way to a potential gold medal.

But Lyles will be joined by his American teammates. Both Fred Kerley and Kenny Bednarek have advanced to the final, with Kerley earning an automatic qualifier, just as Lyles and Bednarek qualified on time.

In addition to Sevilla, Jamaica will be represented by Kishane Thompson, who clocked the day’s best time of 9.80, 0.01 seconds faster than Sevilla.

The United States is looking for its first gold medal in the event since Justin Gatlin won in 2004. Lyles, Kerley and Bednarek will have stiff competition, but all three runners are more than capable of winning the championship.
